Service Description

Short-Term Cultural Homestay Program – Overview This flexible program allows participants to stay with a local Japanese host family for a short period — from as little as 1 week to up to 12 weeks, depending on individual preferences. Unlike traditional exchange programs, this experience does not include attending a Japanese high school and instead focuses entirely on cultural immersion and real-life experiences. Participants can choose from over 50 different cultural activities, including: – Cooking Japanese dishes with the host family – Attending local festivals or seasonal events – Trying traditional arts such as calligraphy, tea ceremony, or martial arts – Exploring cultural and historical sites with the host family – Experiencing rural lifestyles, nature, or crafts in various regions At the end of the program, participants receive a Certificate of Completion. Optional airport pickup/drop-off services are also available for added convenience. The program is open to solo travelers or pairs — friends or even a parent and child can join together. No Japanese language skills are required, though curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are essential! This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who wants a short yet meaningful cultural experience in Japan — whether before a longer academic program or simply to explore a new culture in an authentic and personal way.
