Our Japan Exchange Program accepts students from overseas every year incorporation with the Board of Education of Ibaraki Prefecture, which is about an hour from central Tokyo by express train. This program does not earn credits, but students live at school with Japanese students, stay with volunteer host families, integrate into the community, and enjoy a true Japanese experience. Our monthly program activities are full of fun trips and interesting cultural experiences! (included in the program package) We welcome students who want to learn more about Japan, a country with a culture and history unique in the world!

The "International Exchange Project" began in September 2019, and with the understanding of the Governor of Ibaraki Prefecture and the Ibaraki Prefectural Board of Education, public and private high schools in Ibaraki Prefecture are accepting international students from around the world on a regular basis. This project aims to promote Ibaraki Prefecture and its products to the world through not only student-to-student exchange, but also lifestyle and cultural exchange with local residents in collaboration with schools, host families, and international exchange associations in each city and town, as well as company visits and tours sponsored by companies in the prefecture . The project aims to create a global environment without economic disparities , where students from the prefecture can interact daily with international students from all over the world, including the United States, Europe, and Oceania, who gather in Ibaraki Prefecture .
